2011 Toyota Land Cruiser SUV Reviews

The only engine that's offered in the 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser is a brawny 5.7-liter V-8 engine rated at 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. Many of the Toyota Land Cruisers normal-vehicle features are buffed up for use off-road or in extreme elements. Available options include a rear-seat entertainment system, Bluetooth hands-free calling, sonar-based backup, and rearview monitor system.

Toyota first unveiled its 8th and latest generation Land Cruiser for the 2008 model year. The new powertrain allows the Toyota Land Cruiser to tow 8,500 lbs -- up 2,000 lbs from last year.
Features include standard fog lamps, color-keyed power auto-dimming, heated outside mirrors with power folding, reverse tilt-down and memory features, full-time 4WD system with Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) and Torsen limited-slip center differential with locking feature, crawl control, hill start assist control, a power moonroof, 18-inch wheels, roof rack, running boards, tow hooks, mud guards and much more.

The 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser is an icon for Toyota, but it's also like a misfit at a high school dance. Both on- and off-road abilities are enhanced with Toyota's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), which automatically controls the front and rear antiroll bars depending on the driving conditions. As a large SUV, the 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser is a strong choice in the segment. At the same time, the Land Rover LR4 offers similar capabilities but is notably cheaper.

The 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser is a full-size luxury SUV available in just one well-appointed trim level. Most options are bundled into the pricey Upgrade package that includes a rear spoiler, a rear-seat entertainment system, a navigation system, real-time traffic update feature, a back-up camera, wood interior trim, heated second-row seats and a center console cooler box. The 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system with high- and low-range gearing.

Standard safety features include antilock disc brakes (with brake assist and multi-terrain programming), stability control, front and second-row side airbags, front knee airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.

The 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser also receives Toyota's Safety Connect telematics system, which is similar to GM's OnStar, notifying emergency responders if the airbags deploy or if a severe rear-end collision is detected.

The 2011 Land Cruiser's interior is as refined as a Toyota gets, with high-quality materials and excellent fit and finish. Consequently, the Cruiser's maximum cargo capacity is modest at 82 cubic feet, which is a relatively small figure for a large SUV.

As with previous "Toyota Land Cruisers", the 2011 model has excellent off-road capability while still delivering a thoroughly comfortable ride on urban streets. When exploring the untamed wilds, the Toyota Land Cruiser crawl control takes much of the worry out of the hands (or feet) of the driver.

This car was created after the signing of cooperation the two companies in April 2008 with a clear division of tasks. Toyota is responsible for handling the design and product planning, while Subaru working on the production and development continued.

When working on the project FT-86 II, Toyota's role in terms of design, while Subaru's engine supply. Perhaps, this is a prototype of Toyobaru FR-S that was shown on the arena Newy York Auto Show 2011 last month.

Especially for the Toyobaru coupe sedan there's only one model and will be marketed both Toyota and Subaru. 2011 Toyota Venza Review

The 2011 Toyota Venza is a true crossover: it gives a car-like ride and SUV-like space. No matter what you call the Venza, reviewers are impressed with it.

It’s an SUV! It’s a 2011 Toyota Venza: riding on the same platform as the Toyota Camry, the Venza drives like a car but has the space of an SUV. "Truth be told, the Venza makes the average SUV look like yesterday's news," says Automobile Magazine. Reviewers like the Venza for how comfortable and useful it is. On the road, the Venza is smooth and comfortable – something many family car buyers appreciate. While it’s expensive for a wagon, the Venza is fairly affordable for an SUV. The Venza competes closely with the 2011 Ford Edge.

The Toyota Venza is unchanged for 2011.
It's a wagon. It's a crossover. The 2011 Toyota Venza is a strange creation, one rife with contradictions and difficult to properly define. Unlike with most midsize crossovers, the Venza features a four-cylinder base engine. In the front cabin, the Venza is filled with a variety of innovative storage solutions. The Venza's rear seat doesn't slide, it's not split three ways and there's no option for a third row.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2011 Toyota Venza is a five-passenger wagon available in two trim levels, which correspond to its two engines. The four-cylinder Venza comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, foglamps, privacy glass, a power tailgate, keyless entry, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver seat (includes power lumbar), a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a large color trip computer display, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio and an iPod/USB audio interface. The Venza V6 adds 20-inch wheels along with its bigger engine.

Mostly grouped into packages, options include a rearview camera, a panoramic sunroof, xenon headlamps with automatic high beams, keyless ignition/entry, a four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped wheel and shift knob and a 13-speaker JBL surround-sound audio system with a six-CD changer. The 2011 Toyota Venza is available with a four- or six-cylinder engine and can be had in either front- or all-wheel drive. In Edmunds performance testing, a four-cylinder, front-drive Venza went from zero to 60 mph in 9.3 seconds -- an average time compared to similarly powered crossovers. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 21 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 20/25/22 with all-wheel drive.

Safety
Every 2011 Toyota Venza comes standard with four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag and front-seat active head restraints. In Edmunds brake testing, the Venza came to a stop from 60 mph in 122 feet regardless of engine.
The Venza has not been rated using the government's new, more strenuous 2011 crash-testing procedures.

Interior Design and Special Features
The 2011 Venza doesn't quite exhibit the top-notch interior quality of past Toyota models, but it is a tad nicer than its current Camry stablemate. Although it lacks a third-row seat, the Venza provides loads of passenger space, particularly in the rear, which features reclining seatbacks.
In Toyota's well-stocked lineup, the 2011 Toyota Venza slots in between the base five-seat RAV4 and the more bloated Highlander seven-seater; while the RAV4 and Venza have three rows of seating, the Venza has two rows and seats five.

The 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 gives the Venza a smoother, stronger character, but fuel economy is the penalty. In repeat drives, editors have found the Venza's driving experience to be adequate but numb and uninspiring. In Toyota's well-stocked lineup, the 2010 Toyota Venza slots in between the base five-seat RAV4 and the more bloated Highlander seven-seater. The tall roofline allows a rather high, upright driving position and plenty of headroom. Overall, the Venza goes down the road with a certain isolation that pleases riders, not drivers. Highlights from the options list include leather upholstery, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, a power liftgate, a Smart Key system with push-button start, leather trim, a cargo mat, and all sorts of pet-friendly accessories. The available, top-of-the-line JBL premium audio system is impressive sounding, and also earns Bluetooth audio streaming.

2011 Camry Hybrid Reviews

If judged only on its merits as a competent (if not superior) midsize sedan, the Toyota Camry Hybrid would score well.

As its name implies, the "Toyota Camry Hybrid" is a regular Camry sedan with a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain. The hybrid system is comprised of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine (producing 147 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque) and a 45-hp electric motor. The Camry Hybrid can run on any combination of the two power sources.

We found that the Camry Hybrid's combination of the gas and electric motors felt surprisingly robust. Since the gas engine of the Toyota Camry Hybrid will shut down at a stop and under some driving conditions, the air-conditioning and power-steering systems are driven electrically and powered off of the vehicle's batteries. Very little is sacrificed for these fuel economy gains. Compared to the similarly equipped four-cylinder Camry XLE, for instance, the Hybrid costs approximately $1,500 more. On the whole, however, the Camry Hybrid is a very complete package. For a hybrid family sedan, it doesn't get better than the Toyota Camry Hybrid.

The Camry Hybrid was introduced for the 2007 model year as part of the regular Camry's redesign. The 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid is a rare bird. While there is currently some drama surrounding Toyota, the Camry Hybrid is still a good car.

Edmunds writes, "The Camry Hybrid remains one of the best hybrid deals going, offering an enviable combination of excellent fuel economy and familiar midsize-sedan goodness.” The Camry Hybrid underwent a minor cosmetic facelift in 2010 and carries over into 2011 largely unchanged.

Buyers interested in the highest possible fuel economy may want to look beyond the 2011 Camry Hybrid. While the Camry Hybrid boasts a driving experience close to non-hybrid vehicles, the class-leading Toyota Prius’ fuel economy beats the Camry Hybrid’s mpg figures by 20 mpg in the city. The 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid is only available in one trim.

I'm always amazed by just how quiet hybrids are when driving in battery-only mode, and the Camry Hybrid didn't disappoint. In this car, it wasn't just the hybrid engine that was silent. Silence is golden.

The Camry Hybrid doesn't scream hybrid. My test car was sleek looking with Magnetic Gray paint and small, inconspicuous badges that designated it as a hybrid. This hybrid is a sleeper, if you will.

The Camry Hybrid wasn't quite like that.
The 2011 Camry Hybrid starts at $26,400.

2011 Toyota 4Runner

2011 Toyota 4Runner
The 2011 Toyota 4Runner drops its four-cylinder engine and gains a brake-override system designed to prevent unintended acceleration. Good riddance to the four-cylinder, which furnished slow acceleration and even slower sales

The Toyota 4Runner has long been a favorite for people who want a truck but also want an SUV. Still rugged and sporty, the 4Runner offers people the opposite of a crossover: This is a truck, drives like a truck and is for people who like trucks.

The biggest plus-sides of the 2011 Toyota 4Runner only apply if you're actually planning on taking it off-roads. If you're looking for an SUV or crossover to use mostly in the city, the 2011 Toyota 4Runner just isn't right for you.

This leaves the plenty powerful V6 as the sole engine choice for the 2011 Toyota 4Runner.--The midsize 2011 Toyota 4Runner SUV is offered in three trim levels: SR5, Trail and Limited.

Standard features on the 4Runner SR5 include 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, skid plates, heated outside mirrors with turn indicators and puddle lights, foglights, air-conditioning with rear ventilation, cruise control, full power accessories, a power rear window, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a trip computer and an eight-speaker CD/MP3 audio system with an auxiliary audio jack. The SR5 is available in either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

The Limited is available only with full-time all-wheel drive and includes 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels, Toyota's X-REAS adaptive suspension dampers, keyless entry and ignition, automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 15-speaker JBL audio system with a six-disc CD changer, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated front seats and power lumbar support for the driver seat.

The KDSS off-road suspension is available only on Trail models.
The 2011 Toyota 4Runner comes standard with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. The SR5 and Limited can be had in either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive (part-time dual-range system on SR5; full-time system on the Limited), while the Trail comes only with part-time dual-range 4WD. When properly equipped, the 4Runner's towing capacity tops out at 5,000 pounds.

In Edmunds instrumented testing, a rear-wheel-drive 4Runner SR5 accelerated from a standstill to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, which is about average among competing SUVs. The EPA estimates 17 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined for a rear-wheel-drive 4Runner, which is also average in this segment. A four-wheel-drive 4Runner gets 1 mpg less on the highway.

Standard 4Runner safety features include antilock disc brakes (with brake assist), stability and traction control, active front head restraints, front knee airbags, front-seat side airbags and full-length, roll-sensing side curtain airbags.

The 2011 Toyota 4Runner's interior features a geometric, industrial theme that supports this SUV's rugged image. The Toyota 4Runner offers spacious seating for five passengers.
Cruising around town, the 2011 Toyota 4Runner is surprisingly smooth and comfortable. On the downside, the 4Runner's on-road handling limits are notably low, even for this class of vehicle. Off-road, the 4Runner performs very well, particularly if it's a Trail model fitted with KDSS.

2012 Toyota Celica

Toyota Celica for 2012 is highly anticipated, thanks to reports that Toyota is taking this sports car and it is amplified with a powertrain courageous directly from Subaru. Toyota and Subaru is designed to be a sports car with the appearance of high prices, but a relatively low price. This sports car is designed for performance and comfort, front seat passengers mainly.

Thanks to Subaru, the 2012 Toyota Celica should compete well with the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and Mazda MX5. These are sports cars, which are relatively inexpensive (compared to cousins expensive luxury cars). The partnership between Toyota and Subaru have been long awaited by the longstanding reputation of Subaru to build sports cars and Toyota’s reputation for consumption of the environment, a comfortable interior.

As the Celica picture above proves, it looks great, too. This year’s Celica comes in two models – the Celica GT, Celica GT-S. For more information about any of these Celica models, or for basic Celica info in general, please bookmark this page and become a frequent guest.

2011 toyota fj cruiser

The FJ Cruiser stems from the 4Runner platform, albeit with some alterations. The FJ Cruiser 2011 model comes with the DOHC 4.6 Liter V-6 churning out 259 horsepower. The FJ Cruiser is offered with full time rear wheel or four wheel drive too. The FJ Cruiser is offered with a list of niceties as well. For off road options, the 4WD offering is ideal.

Don’t expect much in the way of on-road handling when driving the 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser; however, its ability off-road and style give reviewers plenty of reason to like the FJ.

The 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser continues into 2011 mostly unchanged save for some minor trim changes. This means the FJ Cruiser continues to offer style in spades. Arguably cruder than the FJ Cruiser, the Wrangler is the original off-road SUV. The Wrangler also starts out over $3,000 less than the FJ Cruiser.

The "FJ Cruiser" is available in a single trim; though a new for 2011 Trail Teams special edition model brings more off-road kit to the FJ Cruiser as well as army green paint.

The FJ Cruiser hasn't changed much since its introduction four years ago. Rear-seat ingress and egress is also awkward. As midsize SUVs go, the 2011 FJ Cruiser has formidable competition.
The "2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser" is a midsize SUV with standard-size front doors and smaller, rear-hinge half doors. Options include a Convenience package that offers keyless entry, power side mirrors, cruise control, rear privacy glass, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a rearview camera. The TRD package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires and off-road-biased suspension tuning. The All Terrain package (available on 4WD models) includes Bilstein shocks, a locking rear differential, active traction control and the additional gauges of the Upgrade package. Both a five-speed automatic and a six-speed manual transmission are offered. FJs with manual transmissions are only available with a full-time four-wheel-drive system; models with automatic transmissions come with either two-wheel drive or a part-time 4WD system.

Standard safety features include stability control, traction control, antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags and rollover-sensing side curtain airbags. The Toyota FJ Cruiser has not been rated using the government's new, more strenuous 2011 crash-testing procedures. In side-impact testing, front and rear passenger protection received five stars.

The FJ's retro-themed dash is color-keyed to match the exterior. Wide roof pillars, small rear windows and a tailgate-mounted spare tire all contribute to poor rearward visibility. Front visibility is also less than optimal due to the FJ's high hood line.

The rear-access doors, like those on most extended-cab pickups, open rearward. Though this configuration offers a wide portal with both front and rear doors open, it's tiresome if you're frequently carting rear passengers, as the rear doors won't open with the front doors closed. With the rear seats folded, 67 cubic feet of cargo space is created.

The 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser is in its element when off-road. The FJ is also surprisingly good on pavement, offering precise steering and a smooth ride. Notably, the FJ does not require premium fuel.

2011 Toyota Tacoma Review

The "2011 Toyota Tacoma" handles much the same as the 2010 model did. Edmunds.com compliments the Toyota Tacoma, saying that the four wheel drive model features a nice, crisp handling, along with offering a well balanced quality ride.

The new Tacoma’s under the hood specifications are impressive for a truck--The 2011 Tacoma’s interior features are comfortable and luxurious. It seats five comfortably, and features split bench rear seats, along with a split folding rear seat.

There are many pros to purchasing the Toyota Tacoma 2011 model truck.

Reviewers are nearly unanimous in saying that the 2011 Toyota Tacoma is one of the best compact pickup trucks you can buy.
Most reviewers say that you don’t shop the compact pickup truck class if you’re looking for comfort and refinement. The Tacoma isn’t perfect. Several reviewers say that the only credible alternative to the Toyota Tacoma is the Nissan Frontier. While reviewers say the Frontier has better performance, overall, most say that in this class, the Tacoma is the pickup to beat.

The "2011 Toyota Tacoma" sees a few changes for the new model year. The Toyota Tacoma is available in regular, access, and double cab; the double cab is the trim with a full-sized back seat. Four- and six-cylinder engines are offered, and the Tacoma offers a performance-tuned X-Runner trim.

In that case, the 2011 Toyota Tacoma should do nicely.
The 2011 Toyota Tacoma is a midsize pickup offered in Regular Cab, Access Cab (an extended cab with small rear-hinged doors) and Double Cab (crew cab with four full-size front-hinged doors) configurations. Both Regular and Access Cabs are joined to a 6-foot bed. All Tacoma body styles are available in either two- or four-wheel-drive form. As the base model, the lightly equipped Tacoma Regular Cab is ideal as a work truck; it actually has more standard amenities than other bare-bones pickups. When equipped with four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, the Regular Cab gets front bucket seats. The Access Cab gains power locks and windows, upgraded cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, a rear bench (includes under-seat storage) and two more speakers. The Tacoma Double Cab adds 16-inch steel wheels, a front skid plate and driver lumbar adjustment.

The Convenience package adds power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, a sliding rear window and steering-wheel audio controls. The TRD Off-Road package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, fender flares, a heavy-duty suspension, a locking rear differential, skid plates and sport seats. The on-road-oriented TRD Sport package includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a hood scoop, a sport suspension and sport seats.

The 2011 Toyota Tacoma is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the Regular and Access Cabs, while a four-speed automatic is optional on those cabs and standard with the Double Cab. When properly equipped, the Tacoma can tow 6,500 pounds.

Standard safety equipment on all 2011 Tacomas includes stability and traction control, antilock brakes (disc front, drum rear) with brake assist, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front active headrests. Adult passengers will find the Double Cab's rear seats roomy and comfortable, while only smaller folk are likely to find the Access Cab's rear accommodations passable. For better or worse, the 2011 Toyota Tacoma drives like a proper pickup truck.

2011 Toyota RAV4 Review

Reviewers call the 2011 Toyota RAV4 one of the most practical and family-friendly SUVs you can buy. The 2011 Toyota RAV4, reviewers say, continues that tradition.

The optional third-row seat also helps the RAV4 stand out. While the RAV4 launched the segment, the competition is starting to catch up. If you like the RAV4, reviewers say you’ll likely be happy with it. The RAV4 is most often compared to the Honda CR-V. Hovever, compared to a four-cylinder RAV4, the CR-V is tough competition.

It beats the RAV4’s base highway fuel economy and has a more up-to-date interior, with more standard features.

The 2011 Toyota RAV4 crossover SUV is available with a fuel-efficient 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that racks up a healthy 22 city/28 highway MPG and a slightly less gas stingy V-6 that still logs in an impressive 27 highway MPG.

Pricing should be around $22,750 MSRP for the base model Rav4--All RAV4s buyers can choose between either a front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The smaller engine has a four-speed automatic standard, while the larger engine has a five-speed automatic as standard and that is available on the smaller engine as an option.

The Base Model RAV4 has a suggested MSRP of $21,925 for the FWD version. The Toyota RAV4 has the most interior room-seating and storage-of any vehicle in its class.
Designed to blend comfort with performance, the 2011 RAV4 features four-wheel independent suspension, a rigid body structure, and enhanced power steering. The positives of the RAV4 are many.

That said, the RAV4 is one of the older designs in the compact crossover segment. The 2011 Toyota RAV4 is a midsize crossover SUV. There are three trim levels available: base, Sport and Limited. The base RAV4 comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels, a limited-slip differential (front-drive models only), air-conditioning, cruise control, full power accessories, keyless entry, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat and a six-speaker stereo with CD player and auxiliary audio jack. The base V6 4WD adds 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels.

The RAV4 Sport comes standard with 18-inch cast-aluminum wheels, color-keyed bumpers and sportier suspension tuning. The Sport Appearance package that is available on all four-cylinder and V6 4WD Sport models deletes the spare tire mounted on the rear cargo door (the model features run-flat tires instead) and adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated mirrors and chrome exterior details.

All V6 models add hill-start assist and hill-descent control, which are also standard for the RAV4 four-cylinder with the optional third-row seat.

An Upgrade Value package for the base RAV4 includes a sunroof, roof rails, privacy glass, 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, six-disc CD changer, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, upgraded cloth upholstery and a cargo cover. The Premium package available on the Sport and Limited trim levels (though not with the third-row seat) adds leather upholstery and an eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar support. V6-powered models can be equipped with a tow package.
The 2011 Toyota RAV4 comes standard with a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that delivers 179 hp and 172 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy for this model with front-wheel drive is 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined, and 21/27/24 with 4WD.

The V6 achieves an impressive 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined for the front-wheel-drive RAV4, and these ratings change only by 1 mpg less for EPA highway when the 4WD model is selected.

Every RAV4 trim level can be matched with either front-wheel or four-wheel drive.
Antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, whiplash-reducing front headrests, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags are standard on every 2011 Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 also performs well in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, earning the top rating of "Good" in both the frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests. The RAV4's interior boasts a clean design with large, simple controls and lots of storage space. Overall interior quality is acceptable, but the Chevy Equinox and Honda CR-V make the RAV's interior look too insubstantial and budget-oriented.

Nevertheless, the "Toyota RAV4" is a model of practicality. The rear seats recline and can slide fore and aft to optimize passenger space or cargo capacity. To configure the RAV4 for cargo, all you need to do is flip a lever on the second-row seats.

Buy a 2011 Toyota Avalon. The 2012 Avalon won’t be substantively changed, and the 2011 Avalon benefits from the liberal factory incentives helping Toyota win back buyers after the safety-recall controversy.

The 2012 Avalon will be a mirror image of the "2011 Avalon", which means a careful evolution of the 2005-2010 generation design. Avalon’s wheelbase, however, is among the shortest in the class. The 2012 Avalon lineup will return with two models, the nicely equipped base Avalon and the top-line Limited. The 2012 Avalon retains essentially the same internal structure as the third-generation Avalon. Like that car, Avalon employs front-wheel drive. Toyota’s Star Safety System will again be standard on every 2012 Avalon. Both 2012 Avalon models will continue with 17-inch alloy wheels and a full-size spare tire.

2012 Toyota Camry Solara Review

You'll appreciate Solara's precise handling and effortless ride. And with the 2012 Toyota Camry Solara convertible, you'll look great doing it, wherever you go. Both the Solara and the Solara convertible are available in SE and SLE V-6 models, making the combinations virtually limitless.

The 2012 Toyota Camry Solara is available as a midsize coupe that seats 5 or convertible that seats 4. Both Solara styles are available in three models, SE, Sport and SLE. The fuel economy ratings of the Toyota Solara model powered by a four cylinder engine are 21 miles per gallon on city streets and 31 miles per gallon highway, while that of the V6 engine powered model are 18 miles per gallon on city streets and 26 miles per gallon highway for the coupe and 18 miles per gallon on city streets and 27 miles per gallon for the convertible highway.

All 2012 Solara models are equipped with air conditioning, powered windows/locks/mirrors, an AM/FM/CD/MP3 music system, leather seats, 17 inch tires, a cruise control system and a sun roof.

The 2012 "Toyota Camry" is the best car for you if you want the all-new version of a family-car icon.

The 2012 Toyota Camry will be the first fully redesigned Camry since model-year 2007. The redesigned 2012 model kicks off the seventh design generation of the Camry, a car that’s parlayed deceptively ordinary design into extraordinarily wide appeal.

Should you wait for the 2012 Toyota Camry or buy a 2011 Toyota Camry? Waiting for the 2012 Camry means your car’s styling will look current for several years, and it’ll be worth more at resale than the outgoing 2011 Camry. The 2011 Camry still is an outstanding family sedan. : For a preview of the 2012 Toyota Camry styling, look to themes evident on the Toyota Venza and the re-engineered 2011 Toyota Avalon. Venza is Toyota’s new-age crossover wagon. Avalon is essentially a stretched version of the Camry sedan. Both have design roots in Toyota’s midsize-car architecture. Look for the 2012 Camry to get some trendy “light-pipe” detail illumination front and rear. The "2012 Camry" probably will be slightly wider than the outgoing model. Toyota is, however, apt to stretch the 2012 Camry’s wheelbase. Camry is honed to achieve an impressive level of refinement. The 2012 Camry will retain front-wheel drive, which concentrates the mass of the engine and transmission in the nose of the car.

Front-wheel drive seldom matches the handling balance of rear-wheel drive. But Camry’s aim is a predictable, easy-to-drive nature. Under the hood, expect Toyota to replace the outgoing Camry’s 169-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder with the notably stronger 2.7-liter four already available in the Venza; there, it’s rated at 182 horsepower. The possibility of a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid is an open question. All 2012 Camrys will come equipped with Toyota’s latest safety features. Also in place for the 2012 Camry will be Toyota’s new Star Safety System. Features: Expect the 2012 Toyota Camry to continue with the sort of model range that’s so effectively penetrated most every layer of the midsize-car firmament. It should again begin with an equivalent of the 2011 Camry’s CE model, which Toyota occasionally refers to as the “Standard” or “base” Camry.

Standard features on every" 2012 Toyota Camry" will include air conditioning, height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. That sort of connectivity is increasingly standard in Camry’s competitive set and has been available but not standard on all Camry models.

2012 Toyota Camry Prices
Pricing for the 2012 Toyota Camry won’t be announced until shortly before the car goes on sale, but a base price range of around $20,300-$29,900 is almost guaranteed. For 2011 Toyota cars, that fee is $750. In general, the 2012 Camry CE model should start around $21,400 with automatic transmission. Estimated base price for the 2012 Toyota Camry LE with the four-cylinder engine is around $22,000 with manual transmission, around $23,000 with automatic. The 2012 Camry LE with the V-6 engine would likely be priced from around $25,700 and come only with automatic transmission.

Toyota has wisely enabled buyers to purchase the top-line Camry model with the four-cylinder engine. That ought to continue, with the 2012 Camry XLE starting around $27,000. Leather upholstery as a standard features has been exclusive to the XLE V-6 Camry. If a gas-electric model is again part of the lineup, look for 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid prices to start around $27,500.

The 2011 Camry with both the 169- and 179-horsepower versions of the four-cylinder engine was among the highest-mileage midsize cars, with EPA ratings of 22/33 mpg (city/highway) for manual transmission, 22/32 with the automatic.
Even if Toyota gives the 2012 Camry the 2.7-liter four-cylinder, these ratings should hold or even climb by a mile-per-gallon or two. In turn, expect the 2012 Toyota Camry with the 3.5-liter V-6 to benefit from similar upgrades given the latest versions of this engine. Toyota continues to use the 2011 Camry Hybrid’s powertrain in the $35,000 Lexus HS250h, which was introduced for model-year 2010 and is advertised as America’s first hybrid-only luxury car. If a 2012 Camry Hybrid returns with a similar setup, look for EPA ratings of at least 33/34 mpg.

2011 Toyota Tundra

2011 Toyota Tundra Review

The 2011 Toyota Tundra is a great all-around truck, but it’s easily trumped when it comes to looks, performance, fuel economy and standard features.

Most reviewers say the 2011 Toyota Tundra is practical and meets expectations. The Dodge Ram offers more aggressive exterior styling and better performance, all for $20,610, almost $3,000 less than the Toyota Tundra. Fuel economy, however, isn’t best in class. The two-wheel drive Ram only gets 14/20 mpg city/highway.

Toyota has given the Tundra a few updates for the 2011 model year. Toyota also added more standard safety features: brake override technology and trailer-sway control. The Tundra is available in Regular, Double and CrewMax models.

The full-size Toyota Tundra pickup truck roared onto the automotive scene for the 2000 model year, and immediately carved out a niche in a segment perennially dominated by American automakers. While two-wheel drive comes standard, four-wheel drive is available on the bigger engines. The Tundra again comes in a choice of three engines, 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive, 5-speed or 6-speed automatic transmission, and it comes in regular cab, Double Cab (5.5 ft bed), or CrewMax (6.5 or 8 ft bed). Toyota does not sell manual transmissions on the Tundra, so it is not even available as an option.

When equipped with the most powerful engine - the 5.7-liter V8 - the Tundra has a towing capacity of 10,800 pounds. Power is where the 2011 Toyota Tundra truly shines. Four-wheel drive is also available for the larger engines.

The standard Tundra engine for 2011 is a 4.0-liter V6 that delivers 236 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission. On a properly equipped Tundra, the 5.7 can tow up to 10,800 pounds.

The 2011 Toyota Tundra manages to offer exceptional power and rugged capabilities with a surprisingly refined cabin. As with previous models, cubbies and pockets abound in the 2011 Tundra.

Standard safety features on the 2011 Toyota Tundra are front-seat side and knee airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, and traction control. Crash testing of the new Tundra had not taken place at the time of this writing, but historically, the second-generation Tundra has performed exceptionally well in government safety testing.
The 2011 Toyota Tundra drops 10 slow-selling variations, boosts the power of its V-6 engine, and adds trailer-sway control. The 2011 Tundra is a solid truck with lots of appealing features.
Should you wait for the 2012 Toyota Tundra or buy a 2011 Toyota Tundra? Buy a 2011 Tundra. The 2011 Toyota Tundra styling is unaltered except for some new exterior colors. The 2011 Tundra regular-cab has two doors. The Tundra Double Cab is an extended-cab with a pair of small rear doors. Both these cabs come with a 6.5-foot or 8.1-foot cargo bed. The 2011 Tundra lineup continues with two official model designations, base (which Toyota calls “Tundra Grade”) and top-line Limited.

Seventy percent of Tundra buyers, however, pick the 5.7-liter V-8. Tundra’s V-6 teams only with a five-speed automatic transmission and two-wheel drive. Tundra still does not offer a factory integrated trailer-braking system, however. All 2011 Tundras have an electronic brake-override system designed to prevent unintended-acceleration. Those versatile cargo-bed boxes would give the Tundra even more storage options for cargo.

2011 Toyota Corolla

2011 Toyota Corolla Review
The Toyota Corolla is the world's best-selling car of all time. Today the Corolla faces even stiffer competition. The 2011 Toyota Corolla is a five-passenger compact sedan available in base, LE and S trim levels.

Every 2011 Toyota Corolla is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-4 that produces 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. Every "Toyota Corolla "comes standard with stability and traction control, antilock brakes with brake assist (front disc, rear drum), front side airbags and side curtain airbags. In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, the Corolla earned a perfect "Good" rating in the frontal-offset, side and roof strength tests.
In a class filled with cars that offer quality, reliability, comfort, good fuel economy and affordability, the 2011 Toyota Corolla is merely adequate.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla is struggling to compete against reliable cars that offer competitive packages that include affordability, top performance and quality cabins. The 2009 and 2010 Toyota Corolla were recalled because of faulty brakes and accelerator pedals.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla gets revised styling but a diminished model lineup as part of a midcycle course correction. Heavy factory incentives are helping Corolla stay neck-and-neck with the Honda Civic atop compact-car sales. Should you buy a 2011 Toyota Corolla or wait for the 2012 Toyota Corolla? Styling: Subtle revisions to the nose and tail strengthen the 2012 Toyota Corolla’s family resemblance to the larger, midsize Toyota Camry. The 2011 revisions do, however, suggest Toyota has a more realistic vision of Corolla’s mission. The 2011 Toyota Corolla lineup again begins with the entry-level Base version and returns better-outfitted LE and S models. The smartest buy should continue to be the 2011 Toyota Corolla LE, which justifiably has accounted for more than half of Corolla sales. Both models continue with 15-inch steel wheels, though their wheel-cover design is new for model-year 2011.

Keeping alive the sporty styling spirit of the departed Corolla XRS, the 2011 Corolla S gains fancy multi-reflector headlamps, front and rear spoilers, lower-body aero trim, and a chrome-tipped exhaust. The 2011 Corolla S model also gets a sportier new steering wheel with metallic accents and audio controls.

Mechanical: All 2011 Toyota Corollas come with updates to software and hardware associated with Toyota’s response to the sudden-acceleration recalls. Similarly, the 2011 Corolla continues to bundle a suite of safety features under Toyota’s Star Safety System label. Unfortunately, the demise of the XRS model with its four-wheel disc brakes means all 2011 Corollas retain the lesser front-disc/rear-drum brake setup.

A five-speed manual transmission remains standard on Corolla Base and S models; top rivals furnish six-speed manuals. An automatic transmission is standard on the Corolla LE and optional on the Base and S models, but it has just four speeds. The late Corolla XRS at least offered a five-speed automatic.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla experiences a minor features revival as part of its midcycle facelift. From the XLE’s standard equipment list the 2011 Corolla LE inherits variable intermittent wipers. The moonroof remains an S-model option. However, the navigation system and leather upholstery previously optional on the Corolla S and XRS models are no longer available.
Historically, Corolla’s base prices were justified by strong demand and made palatable by high resale values. A rough estimate would give the 2011 Toyota Corolla a base-price range of $16,200-$18,500. Look for the 2011 Toyota Corolla Base model to start around $16,200 with manual transmission, around $17,000 with automatic. Estimated base price for the 2011 Corolla LE model is about $17,600.

The 2011 Corolla S versions should start around $17,300 with manual transmission, $18,200 with automatic.

Toyota Avensis Recall

Toyota has voluntarily recalled more than 18,000 cars in the UK to carry out modifications to fuel systems.

Toyota, which also owns Lexus, has recalled the Avensis and IS 250 to carry out modifications to the fuel systems due to fears both models could be at risk of fuel leaks.

The Toyota Avensis issue affects certain 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre petrol models, produced between July 2000 and September 2008.

The problem relates to two potential concerns with the fuel system.
The second Toyota Avensis issue is that the fuel pump check valve may not be fitted tightly enough. If so, both the fuel pipe and fuel pump check valve will have to be replaced.

A statement released by the company said: "As a result of customer feedback in other markets worldwide, Toyota GB today announced it would recall a number of its Toyota Avensis and Lexus IS 250 models in the UK to carry out modifications to their fuel systems.

Approximately 3,100 UK registered Lexus IS 250 petrol engine vehicles, produced between August 2007 and February 2009, are also affected.
Nearly 1.7 million Toyota-made vehicles are being recalled worldwide because of the defects.
